Eventista emotes…

Posted on | July 30, 2009 | 10 Comments

While the next post is scheduled to be by Wedhead, Eventista couldnt resist writing a few words before that:

Truly delighted you have all responded to my rant so graciously and all of us here are thankful that you are letting us work out this weird blogging thing in front of an audience (a few kinks I’m sure you’ve noticed).  A few of you had some items to add to the “Over and Out” list and, as this is a democratic blog (particularly when you agree with me), and, as I realized that there were a few particularly nasty things that I inadvertently left out, here follows the finale of items we could really do without, even, as I mentioned before, if they were once cute as buttons.

Oh, one further thing, and I really hope I’m crystal clear on this terribly controversial subject; as so many people were offended by my being foodist about cupcakes (so sensitive)- I wasn’t advocating a pogrom against all cupcakes, I was only suggesting that the cupcake tier in lieu of a cake is   t  i  r  e  d……

So, the addendum:
*Chocolate fountains
* French Manicured acrylic nails the thickness of windshields
* The de riguer truly romantic and beautifully lit ”Designer Shoe” wedding photo
* The concept that sugar flowers on a cake are remotely”edible”

H.I.L.A.R.I.O.U.S! What a great way to start my morning! And chocolate fountains … please! Who wants to have a gorgeous dress smudged with brown fingerprints because guests indulge and then give hugs to the happy couple? Can’t wait to keep reading!

I love this, particularly the acrylic nail addition. Gross.

But I need you or any other reader to enlighten me on “* The de riguer truly romantic and beautifully lit ”Designer Shoe” wedding photo”

Thanks! Can’t wait to read more from you…

I so like your rant, it is precise without being rude, you’ve been raised by nice people I think ;)

Speaking of nice, may I halt my normal niceness to add to that list; I see your last post as a public service for all “To be Weds” rather than criticism so here goes,

    These are mostly photography related:
    ‘Celebrity’ Photographers,
Obligatory posing that looks suspiciously like the closing scenes of a Romcom.
Pictures of flutes or the bride and groom holding one, no one wants to be reminded of how they got their drink on during the ceremony.
Engagement Pictures – why? The bride has enough stress planning for the wedding.
Lastly the postmodern “event” wedding, I know it’s a special day but quirky is turning into some Indie Movie – quirky for the sake of quirky’s sake.

Phew! Now excuse me while I go find an animal to rescue and redress the equilibrium.

Hilarious! Just had to deal with the so called “edible” sugar coated flower petals..Yikes! I talked them out of them, thank goodness.

I love your blog. And can I be an honorary wedhead? Please start selling tshirts so your fellow red/wed/heads can be groupies. LOVE this post. I have a very fond love for chocolate fountains. So glad they made your list! haha

one of my bridesmaids, an extremely popular west coast wedding photographer with outstanding taste, said she would not come to my wedding unless I had a chocolate fountain.

    true story.

To the shoe photo can we add the image of the bridal party leaping spontaneously into the air?
    What’s with that?

Specialists say that credit loans help people to live their own way, because they are able to feel free to buy necessary goods. Moreover, some banks offer car loan for all people.
