I have a couple of friends who started a company that plans and organizes events. They named it "Supernatural"-something. I forgot the second word in the name. Anyway, I asked them "Why, does it involve the arcane or something?" They actually explained something about that "WOW" factor you mentioned in your post.

I am loving the posts by wedhead and eventista, and I am quite impressed with Marcy as well! I have just started compiling my thoughts and philosophies (for my book and blog) about the magic of parties, that abstract special something that makes them come alive, and I was so taken with how beautifully and effectively it is expressed in this article. It is true, the mastery of those working their magic behind the scenes, sensing and knowing what is needed to propel things to the next level, is what creates the extraordinary (and averts potential disasters.) Bravo for this article!
